Actual F1, better than older?

F1 has always been a boring sport for people who doesn't love it. The race dind't have so much exitement, because the big technological differents between cars and the differents budgets between team had always stopped the show. Do you remerber Shumacher's  time? Five F1 World Championship to the Kaiser and Ferrari without opposition. The first position had owner before the race and that's was too bad for audiences and viewers. Since 90's until now, F1 had lost all the things that it had won during 50 years.

But now somethings has changed in this sport. Now the races are more disputed, more car in less space. More mistakes, more overtakings and obviously more show, like the old times. The question is... why actual F1 come back to the show?
The answer is a set.

F1 2013 Tyres

We start by the tyres. Years ago each team could choose the kind of tyres that they want to use, and the brands like Bridgestone or Michelin made theis tyres according to the teams that they support. Now, all the teams must use Pirelli's tyres, and the italian brand have get make a tyres too complicated for the teams and very good for the show. The cause is that this tyres wear out so fast and the drivers must find the balance between go fast and dont destroy their tyres. There are 4 kinds of dry tyres, Hard, Medium, Soft and Supersoft and 2 for wet conditions, Normal or Extreme Wet. If the race is dry the teams must use 2 types of tyres, and this fact makes races more funny.


Another fact of this F1 development are the DRS and the KERS. The first one is a device that reduces the down force in the straight and allows a faster top speed. The drivers can activated it if they have less that 1 second with the driver who is in front of them, favoring the overtakings.
The second one is a electronical component that give to the drivers an extra energy during 5 seconds. They can manage it during the lap as well as they can and it is use to do overtakings or to defende the posicion with other driver.

DRS (Drag Reduction System)

But the F1 has turn this last years into a deal. With each race there are a lot of commercial interest, a lot of sponsors which need that the team and the drivers are all the weekend with them, and not with the supports. Glamour and fame are two of the factors more important in actual F1 and that's not good for the show

So, the tyres, the DRS and KERS have done the F1 more funny to the viewers and more difficult to the drivers and the team. This 3 facts have ben back to the old F1, when the driver was more important than the machine, and the races were decided in the final lap. But the F1 deal now is more important that the sport, and the suppont dont like that.
